Visiting the Studio
Natalie came to see me last summer at my home studio looking for a statement bridal headpiece. She was so full of energy and passion for her wedding, it was absolutely contagious. I started our consultation the way I always do – piecing together the whole look she wants for her wedding. Has she chosen a dress? Shoes? What are her wedding colours? Has she decided on a hair style yet? From everything that Natalie described to me, she wanted to make an impact on her wedding day!
Choosing her perfect statement bridal headpiece
Natalie tried on almost every piece from my Celebration Collection of Art Deco headpieces. It was such a difficult choice, as they all looked fabulous! In the end, she chose the Celebration Art Deco Bridal Cap No.8.
This statement bridal headpiece echoes the shape of bridal caps of the 1930s and 1940s, while giving a modern twist in the detailed rhinestone beading. Therefore it is just perfect with sparkly, fitted wedding dresses like Jenny Packham or this amazing Gwendolynne dress.
Natalie’s Wedding Day
Natalie also asked me to design some custom rhinestone beaded earrings to match her headpiece. These were made with swarovksi crystals surrounded by delicate seed beads, all hand stitched onto super soft suede. She was over the moon with how perfectly the earrings matched her headpiece.
Natalie wore her statement bridal headpiece with an amazing fishtail wedding dress and her hair down in gorgeous curls.
