Michelle came to me earlier this year with a request: Could I create her a truly one-of-a-kind, statement mother of the groom headpiece?
Designing a Mother of the Groom Headpiece
Michelle was really struggling to find a beautiful headpiece to wear to her son’s wedding that would perfect complement her stunning taupe mother of the groom dress – a beautiful long, drop-waist dress. She didn’t want to wear a traditional hat or fascinator. She was really looking for something unique and elegant, and loved some the vintage wedding hair accessories she had seen on my website.
We worked together over a number of weeks to come up with the perfect design for her – a large, statement feathered headpiece adorned with gunmetal grey bugle beading, velvet millinery leaves in a range of soft subtle shades of taupe and ivory, and a stunning central set crystal brooch in the shape of a rose.

After the dust had settled on the wedding, Michelle wrote to me:
