Bride Marianna came into our London wedding accessories shop almost a year ago now. Her beautiful auburn hair was immediately striking (we had serious hair envy here!). Marianna was planning her Autumn wedding in Spain, and was looking for a statement gold wedding crown to wear with her dress.

Well she had come to the right place! We had just been working on our 2018 Botanist Collection which contains several statement wedding crowns so we had just the right ideas and inspiration. Over the course of several months, we worked closely with Marianna to create for her the perfect gold wedding crown.

Designing The Perfect Gold Wedding Crown

The central feature in her crown are 5 stunning gold flowers, with hand wired stamens of Swarovski pearls and gold seed beads. These flowers rise to a very slight peak at the centre, forming that perfect crown shape. While at the same time, the slight asymmetry of their placing keeps the crown very relaxed and natural, a look Marianna was keen to achieve.

These gold flowers are then flanked by delicate golden leaves on either side. Sprays of handmade freshwater pearl sprays along with tiny gold buds further enhance the gold wedding crown. The last delicate finishing touch are small, handmade gold clay leaves all along the crown. These little leaves keep the crown from being too formal. They also give it a beautiful autumnal feel, which was just perfect for Marianna’s Autumn wedding.

Adding The Finishing Touches

After her crown was finished, Marianna also asked us to design her earrings. She wanted these to coordinate with the crown, and finish off her Autumn wedding look.

We worked closely with Marianna to design these beautiful Swarovski crystal earrings. They are the perfect blend of sparkle and statement, while not stealing the show from her beautiful gold wedding crown. We used some of the same gold flower buds to nestle next to the Swarovski crystal drops, and set the drop onto freshwater pearl studs. We were so pleased with how these earrings came out. Swarovski crystals are a stunning material to use in any jewellery design, as the quality really is incomparable.

The Whole Look

We are head over heels in love with Marianna’s wedding dress. The shape, the lace, the train…. Swoon! And we are so thrilled she entrusted us to make her gold wedding crown and matching earrings.
